Nijme
Rinaldi Nun is a New Orleans-based photographer whose photojournalism,
portraiture and fine art photography has appeared in periodicals
and galleries throughout the city and the globe.
The veteran staff photographer for The Louisiana Weekly,
New Orleans’ oldest and largest African-American newspaper,
Nijme also has an extensive freelance career. Her work has
appeared in international publications and in-flight magazines
such as Altitude and Life in Antigua, for which she was
principal photographer, and she is a frequent contributor
to, among other magazines, New Orleans Magazine and St.
Charles Avenue.
Nijme is an extraordinarily adaptable and affable photographer,
and she regularly works with clients all over the world.
She attended Tulane University, holds an B.A. from the University
of New Orleans and an M.F.A. in fine art photography from
Louisiana State University, where she was also an adjunct
professor of photography.
A native of Ponce, Puerto Rico, Nijme is the daughter of
famed santero sculptor Pedro Pablo Rinaldi and renowned
artist Mariem Dalel.
